Dr. Vasanth Nalam, board-certified pediatrician, moved to Lafayette in 1979 and established a pediatrics practice, where he has treated generations of Acadiana children. Dr. Nalam continues to build lasting relationships with the families in his care. That starts with listening intently and understanding their personalized needs. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD/ADD and asthma, in addition to providing preventative care and sports physicals for young athletes.

Dr. Nalam earned a medical degree in 1969 from Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam, India, where he later received a Child Health diploma in 1972. He completed a pediatrics residency at Harlem Hospital Center and later an ambulatory care pediatrics fellowship at Columbia University, both in New York. He worked as a pediatrician in Jamaica before entering the US Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Major.

Dr. Nalam is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Lafayette Parish Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society and Acadiana Pediatrics Society.
