Pratima Gaulee, MD, a board-certified neonatologist, is part of the skilled, experienced and knowledgeable provider team caring for the area’s smallest patients in the Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As Acadiana’s only Level III Surgical NICU, the unit provides family centered care with access to local pediatric surgery and other subspecialists treating the unique healthcare needs of children born prematurely or with other health issues. Dr. Gaulee earned a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Pokhara, Nepal, before completing a pediatric residency at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, New York, and a neonatal-perinatal fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She is certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.
