Nicolas Ortiz Flores, MD, is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist cares for infants children and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart conditions with a focus on outpatient and inpatient consults at FMOL Health | Our Lady of the Lake Children Hospital. He provides comprehensive evaluation of murmurs, chest pain, syncope, palpitations, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS)and congenital heart disease, as well as long-term follow-up for children with chronic cardiac conditions.

Dr. Ortiz Flores earned his medical degree from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) Medical School in La Paz, Bolivia. He completed his pediatric residency at McGovern Medical School, UTHealth in Houston, Texas, and his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Nicklaus Children's Hospital (Miami Children's Hospital) in Miami, Florida. Dr. Ortiz Flores actively participates in the Gift of Life International program, traveling annually to Bolivia to provide pediatric cardiology care for children with congenital heart defects. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and is passionate about making specialized heart care accessible to families in our community.
