Dr. Mikki Smith Bouquet was born and raised right here in Baton Rouge and spent the entirety of her educational career in Louisiana. She went to Central High School, earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master's of Science from Louisiana State University A&M and her medical doctorate from LSU Health Sciences Center. She spent 4 years in a residency program at Our Lady of the Lake where not only she served as Pediatric Chief Resident in her final year but was also a Franciscan Award Recipient. Dr. Bouquet is a Board-Certified Physician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). In addition to her educational background, Dr. Bouquet is involved with several medical organizations and communities such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Medical Association (AMA), the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the LA Medical Society.  

When she’s not busy using her expertise caring for children as a pediatrician, she loves spending time with her husband, her 2 daughters and her Rhodesian Ridgeback dog Leo. She also has a lifelong affinity for dancing and spent 8 years as a dance instructor at Peggy’s Dance Studio in Baker and Zachary teaching ballet as well as other genres of dance. In addition, Dr. Bouquet enjoys singing, sailing, snorkeling, reading, traveling, yoga, nights out at the theater and like anyone else who’s from Baton Rouge, she’s all about LSU Sports.
