About The Provider
Meaghan Smith, MD, grew up in Baton Rouge where she attended St. Aloysius School and St. Joseph’s Academy prior to receiving her bachelor of science in biology and minor in chemistry from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Smith earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. While in medical school she was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and was awarded the Ralph W Baucum Jr. Award in Pediatrics. She completed her internship and residency in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she was named the Carolyn Ashworth Primary Care resident of the year. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and hosting dinners with friends, attending and watching sporting events and spending time with her husband, son, and dogs.

We have seen 3 other pediatricians at other clinics and did not find the care to be the same levels as Dr Meaghan Smith! We find she is very attentive, empathetic, caring and educational! We can't thank Dr Meaghan for all she does for us and helping us keep our family Happy and Health!

Our normal doctor was out this day but Dr. Smith was AMAZING! I will be requesting her more often. She was wonderful with my son and listened to him and my concerns. She made me comfortable with the health plan moving forward.

We just switched to Dr Smith after our Dr retired. The kids loved her. She took her time to answer all questions and did a thorough well check. She explained things in a way the kids understood.

Mrs. Smith was amazing. She bonded so well with my daughter, she made her forget she was even afraid of the outcome of the appointment. Her personality was very bright and she was informative.
