Lori McBride, MD, a Fellowship trained pediatric neurosurgeon, received her medical degree from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. She completed an internship in general surgery from LSU Medical Center and a neurosurgery residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC) in Denver, Co. Following a one year Fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas, she returned to Denver to serve as an assistant professor in pediatric neurosurgery at UCHSC, where she remained until returning to Louisiana in 2005. She is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgeons, and is a member of several industry societies including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Joint Section on Neurotrauma and Critical Care, and the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons.
