Neonatal nurse practitioner Linzy Hernandez is part of the skilled, experienced and knowledgeable provider team caring for the area’s smallest patients in the Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As Acadiana’s only Level III Surgical NICU, the unit provides family centered care with access to local pediatric surgery and other subspecialists treating the unique healthcare needs of children born prematurely or with other health issues. After earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Hernandez completed a master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. She is a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses and the Academy of Neonatal Nursing.
