Dr. Arceneaux has more than 40 years of experience as an RN and 20 years as a family nurse practitioner. She is also certified as a diabetic educator and serves as a diabetes consultant. In 2005 she received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama, where she received the award for clinical excellence. Dr. Arceneaux has many years of service in various areas of clinical practice including primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, diabetes, and gastroenterology – focusing much of her career on chronic disease prevention. She has participated in numerous diabetes research studies including the effects of diabetes education on chronic disease prevention and new pharmacological treatment therapies.
