About James B Gardner, Jr.

About The Provider

James Gardner, MD is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. He received his medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he also completed his internship and residency pediatrics. Dr. Gardner did his Fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association, Pediatric Endocrine Society, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Dr. Gardner had several influences towards becoming a doctor, including an early fascination in science and watching his older sister suffer from medical problems through her life. He wanted to provide care for people like his sister and gravitated toward pediatrics in medical school because of the unique challenges and energy it provided.

    Dr Gardner was absolutely incredible, kind, and honest with diagnosis prognosis and treatment plan. It was worth the very long drive to receive treatment from him and he seemed genuinely interested in our case.
