About Horace J. Collinsworth

About The Provider

Dr. Collinsworth is a native of Baton Rouge. He earned his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed an internship at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, La. After a residency at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, he began a solo pediatric practice in Baton Rouge. He also served as a staff physician for South Louisiana Medical Associates and as KidMed director. He is Board Certified in pediatrics and has a special interest in Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Dr. Collinsworth that caring for children is one of the most important duties on mankind has inspired him throughout his career.

    Dr. Collingsworth should not be in the presence of any kids as a provider. He was very abrasive and impatient as my child cried. She did not want to open her mouth the complete the exam to check her throat. This doctor took my daughter's arms, pinned them to the bed & screamed OPEN YOUR MOUTH! That made her even more uncomfortable & the cries turned into screams

    Dr. Collinsworth has been an amazing Dr. To both of my children! Professional always and great bedside manner!
