About The Provider
Dr. Andres Carrion is the section chief of pediatric pulmonology. Dr. Carrion earned his medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and completed his pediatric residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He followed this with fellowship training in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
Dr. Carrion is Board Certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. He serves as faculty for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Residency Program and clinical assistant professor of pediatrics for Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Thoracic Society and American College of Chest Physicians. His clinical areas of interest include aerodigestive disorders, home mechanical ventilation, flexible bronchoscopy and cardiopulmonary physiology.
Dr. Carrion first joined our organization in 2010. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Dr. Carrion is a dedicated physician who enjoys helping patients and collaborate with colleagues to deliver the best care possible.

He shouldbif read the chart better when he came in to realize my daughter has down syndrome ahead of time. He was trying to ease in that he thought she looked like she may have ds and we should do genetic testing. And other things for her care until I made him aware that we already know

Dr carrion was fantastic! He took time to listen to concerns and explained the plan, what he planned to do to help us and what to expect. He also addressed my 7 year old like an actual patient and not a child, which I loved! Be felt comfortable there

Dr. Andres Carrion is a magnificent doctor who takes his time and really listens and cares about each one of his patients. He is one of the best doctors Azrael has!!!!!
