Amy Bains, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery. She earned her master of medical science in physician assistant studies from Our Lady of the Lake College, also now known as FranU, and her bachelor of science in botany from Louisiana State University.

Amy brings extensive experience in orthopedic trauma and surgical first assist, caring for both pediatric and adult patients. She has assisted in complex procedures including scoliosis posterior spine fusions, fracture repairs, and joint replacements. Her background includes orthopedic trauma call, inpatient rounding, pre- and post-operative evaluations and emergency medicine experience. Amy is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)and holds BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
