Amy Wood, MD, specializes in specializes in neonatology with Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.  

She received her Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston, SC and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville, KY.  Dr. Wood then completed her pediatric residency and at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and her Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship at University of Colorado and Denver Children’s Hospital.  

She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.  She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She serves as an Associate Program Director and the Director of Global Child Health for the Our Lady of the Lake Pediatric Residency Program.  

Dr. Wood is a native of Kentucky and has a special interest in medical education and newborn resuscitation in resource limited environments.
