About Amber Barksdale

About The Provider

Amber Barksdale, PNP-C, received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the Louisiana State University Health in New Orleans. She then completed her master's degree in the pediatric primary care nurse practitioner program at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. After working as a nurse in the NICU, Amber fell in love with the pediatric population. She went back to school to become a pediatric nurse practioner to further her education and be able to assist families in treating and preventing illnesses from birth to young adulthood.

    Amber Barksdale is consistently professional and welcoming. She speaks directly to my child and help him to feel confident and comfortable. She explained our choices to me and then when my child as nervous about an inhouse procedure, explained the procedure to him at a level he could understand and trust in.
