Dr. Rachael Jackson was born and raised in the surrounding New Orleans area. She completed her undergraduate education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in German and later received her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from the University of New Orleans. Dr. Jackson earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center's School of Medicine in Shreveport. She went on to complete her pediatric internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, McGovern Medical School in Houston and continued to work in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center after residency.

Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Jackson treats patients from newborn to 18 years of age. Some of her clinical interests include preventative health and newborn care, with special interest in breastfeeding. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  

In her spare time, Dr. Jackson enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and two dogs. She loves being outdoors, dining at local restaurants and traveling. Dr. Jackson is thrilled to be returning home to Louisiana with her family where she can serve the wonderful people of Louisiana!
