About Cori Elizabeth Sumrall

About The Provider

Dr. Sumrall is a board-certified rural family medicine physician. She is a Bogalusa native and returned to her hometown after obtaining her medical degree to complete her residency training at the LSU Rural Family Medicine Residency Program. She is experienced in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illnesses, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, lung diseases such as COPD and asthma, musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety, and much more. She also offers in-clinic procedures such as incision and drainage of skin abscesses, removal and/or biopsy of skin lesions, cryotherapy, joint injections, and pap smears for cervical cancer screening.

Her special interests include preventative medicine and rural medicine. Dr. Sumrall has a passion for providing care to patients in underserved areas. She hopes to bridge the gap in rural health access by providing quality primary care in her community of Bogalusa and coordinating specialty care for her patients when needed.

Dr. Sumrall enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and watching Louisiana football. She and her husband are excited to welcome their first daughter in October 2020.
